Learn to draw like the masters at Fine Art Boot Camp with Susan Diehl; a class for adults (over 16). If you've ever wanted to learn how to draw and paint, but didn't know where to start, this is the place!
This is an on-going drawing class: learning the traditional ways that the masters learned to draw (but at warp speed). We will delve deeper into the drawing concepts we began in the fall with short lectures, demos and exercises. This is an ongoing "mentorship" type class that works at an individual level. So, if you are jumping into the class in this 8 week session you can expect to learn the fundamentals while being exposed to the next level concepts that the 2nd semester drawers are learning as well. Eventually folks will move on to black and white oil and then on to full color oil paintings from life. Hang on to your britches! Its a whirlwind of adventuresome learning!
Susan Diehl, an artist and art instructor, who recently moved here from Phoenix, Arizona, has taught and is still teaching workshops at the well-known Scottsdale Art school and on the workshop circuit around the country. She is setting up art class at the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Arts Center! The session will be ongoing eight weeks in the fall session, eight weeks in the winter session, and eight weeks in the spring session. The first session (8 classes) will be beginning drawing. It is individualized instruction and people will advance independently through drawing onto black-and-white oil, and eventually full color oil. The first session will be just beginning drawing and everybody doing the same thing. Susan anticipates that eventually the class will be filled with people at different levels doing different things.
